Youth Ministry Coordinator

The Firm Foundation Church is centrally located in Birmingham, Alabama. We practice radical love of all humanity. We are a conduit of love, healing and empowerment to the individual; in turn, the individual becomes a source of love, healing and empowerment to the community around them in everyday life.  Our Pastor is Eva R. Melton.

Responsibilities:

• Lead children and youth programming at The Firm Foundation Church under the direction of Rev. Eva Melton, Pastor.

• Coordinate Kids Zone bi-monthly virtually and face-to-face upon physical church re-entry

• Establish and maintain relationships with parents of children & youth

• Actively lead & recruit volunteers to serve in this ministry of the church

• Promote a holistic youth ministry model that blends into the whole of the church.

• Coordinate outreach specifically for children and youth in conjunction with our Outreach Director.

• Attend quarterly leadership meetings

 Qualifications and Requirements:

This is a part-time position with up to 5 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their relationship with Jesus Christ. As we continue to grow and evolve we are looking for leaders who bring their creativity and vision to their roles. Since we have a large online and digital presence, a familiarity with blending technology and ministry is necessary.  

If a seminary student is chosen for this position, we will provide additional opportunities for ministerial experience however, youth ministry coordinator will be the primary role.  We do expect you to demonstrate past experience with youth in professional career or prior ministry/church environment.
